ReductEtox effectively removes endotoxin from biological media including water, buffers, tissue cultue and purified proteins. An update to our ActiClean Etox product, ReductEtox is used in a very similar manner, but has a higher binding capacity and can remove endotoxin even in low pH environments. Both resins employ a remedation strategy, stripping endotoxin selectively from protein solutions.

The affinity of the immobilized ligand from proteins is very low, delivering a mass yield of proteins that typically exceeds 95%. The endotoxin binding ligand is nontoxic, nonmutagenic and biodegradable.

The hydrophilic agarose supports reduces nonspecific binding that normally occurs with less hyrdophilic supports such as methacrylate or acrylamide. So not only is binding capacity higher, protein yield is also higher. ReductEtox can be cleaned with 1M NaOh, and still withstand over 100 regeneratoin cycles before losing significant binding capacity.
